Congratulations to the LCHS Lady Dawgs Softball team, who won the 58th District title on May 21st! The team won against Floyd Central 15-0! Congratulations to District Player of the Year, Dani Crum! Coach Adkins commented, "I'm really proud of our players defending their district title on Tuesday night! Several players had big games, and everyone contributed! We look forward to representing Lawrence County in the regional tournament next week!"

The LCHS Football players donated their time to help provide clean-up services for the Pine Hill Cemetery in preparation for Memorial Day! The group picked up weathered flowers, garbage, and sticks and mowed the grounds. These community service projects are instrumental in providing student-athletes with off-the-field experiences geared toward teamwork and helping others!

Bulldog basketball camp will begin tomorrow, May 22nd & end on Friday, May 24th from 9-11 AM in the LCHS gym. Registration will begin at 8AM tomorrow. Cost is $40 per camper & all 4 year olds through 8th graders are encouraged to attend!

Best of luck to the LCHS Softball and Baseball teams, who will play in the first round of the 58th District Tournaments on Monday, May 20th at 5:30 PM! The LCHS Softball will also host their senior night at 5:00 PM! The final game will be played on Tuesday, May 21st at 7:00 PM! LCHS Softball Coach Adkins expressed his gratitude to the graduating seniors, "We have three great student-athletes to honor on Monday during Senior Night. They are great examples of Lawrence County, and we will miss them! The district and staff wish them the best in their future endeavors." Let's go out and support these teams here at home!
