A few moments ago, a "smoke" smell was detected at Fallsburg. Out of an abundance of caution, we asked the local fire department to run their heat detecting devices to find a source. No flames or unusual readings were detected, and the "all clear" was given to resume our regular schedule.
Everything is back to a "normal" Halloween school day. 😁

The LCHS football team will be taking on Mason County tonight at 7:30 PM at LVJR Memorial Field! Tonight is Senior Night, beginning at 7:00 PM. And it is also Pink Out Night, so wear your pink! A lot is happening tonight...Go out and support the Bulldogs!

The Louisa West Elementary preschool students enjoyed a field trip to the Mountain Homeplace in Staffordsville, KY. It is a living museum, a re-creation of an early farming community. The students had a great time petting the animals and riding the train!

BES students celebrated Fire Prevention Week with a visit from the Blaine and Webbville Volunteer Fire Departments. Students were taught life-saving steps to take in case of a home fire. They also learned about equipment and toured the fire engine!

Fallsburg Elementary School had a visit from the Fallsburg Volunteer Fire Department and the KY Division of Forestry for Fire Prevention Week! FES students were informed on many aspects of fire safety. They also had a great visit with Smokey the Bear!

Fire Prevention Week was a great success at Louisa East and Louisa West Elementary Schools! Thank you to all of the Louisa Fire Department volunteers who presented fire safety instruction to the students at both schools!

The LCHS Carpentry students attended the IN, KY, OH Regional Council of Carpentry open-house event in Grayson, KY. This event allows our Career & Technical Education students career exploration and insight into career training close to home.

We had a minor accident that involved a Blaine bus (#223) and an ATV. No one was injured, but the bus is running 30-40 minutes late. Police have cleared the scene. #AllinLC
