The LCHS Human & Body Systems class received certifications in infant, child, and adult CPR. They also received certifications in AED use, First Aid, and Stop the Bleed procedures!

LCHS has been training biology, health science, and agriculture teachers on their new Anatomage table. This table is a state-of-the-art computerized system, allowing students to utilize 3-D anatomical visuals and virtual dissection of human/animal cadavers.

LC Schools is sending out a reminder of 2022-2023 important school dates! Remember, LC Schools will not be in session tomorrow, March 8, 2023. The LCHS Girls' Basketball Team will be competing in the Sweet 16. Also, this is a reminder that school will be in session on Friday, March 10, and Friday, March 24, 2023. Also, the Lawrence County Board of Education has approved the 2023-2024 School Year Schedule!

Great things are happening at LCHS! The Civil Engineering class has partnered with the JROTC to plan/design a Raider Competition Obstacle Course! The construction of the course will be provided by the LCHS Carpentry and Heavy Equipment Operation classes!

Ms. Brojakowski has been attending the CRRSA ELA Cohort training in Ashland, KY. Her reading and science classes from Fallsburg Elementary School are using hexagonal thinking to make deeper connections!

The LC Portrait of a Graduate is a visual representation of the LC Schools and community’s vision for skills, character, and social-emotional traits that students need in school, careers, and life. It was developed by a committee of community members, business leaders, parents, and school personnel. It is based on the results of interviews conducted with both adults and students about the skills they felt a graduate truly needs. It includes the 4 R’s currently used in classrooms across LC (respectful, responsible, ready, and relationships). The LCHS Pre-Nursing Program would like to that all of those who volunteered to donate blood to the Kentucky Blood Bank! It was a great success with forty-seven donors and thirty-six usable units! Remember, blood donation helps to save lives!
