Congratulations to the LC Youth League Turf Bowl B -Team Champions! The tournament was held at Marshall University's Joan C. Edwards Stadium in Huntington, WV, on Saturday, November 9, 2024. The team competed against DC Express and came away with the win at 30-8! We also want to congratulate the A and C teams on becoming runners-up! All the LC youth league teams have had excellent seasons!

Louisa East Elementary School held its outstanding Veterans Day Programs on Nov 11, 2024, demonstrating our strong community spirit! We appreciate Louisa Post 89 and VFW 6103 members' involvement and volunteering their time to teach students about the Missing Man Table and the Flag Folding Ceremony. Thank you to Mrs. Helton and the EAST activity teachers for their hard work on these programs!

Fallsburg Elementary School planned the Pumpkin Painting activity and invited parents to join the fun! It was a picture-perfect day, and the students were so creative with their designs! Teachers used the pumpkins as a learning tool throughout the week leading up to the painting day! Some of the lessons included counting seeds, measuring circumference, and categorizing them by size and color!
The LCHS National Beta Club participated in a community service activity, volunteering at the Pumpkin House in Kenova, WV. The Pumpkin House relies on volunteers to create its 3,000 jack-o-lanterns, which are displayed to the community for free!

Blaine Elementary has Bob Ross painting happy little trees on his canvas in art therapy! The BES students love it! Who doesn't love Bob Ross? Thanks to Ms. Susan Little, Guidance Counselor, and Mrs. Tina Bevins, FRYSC Coordinator, for their fantastic costume creativity!

The district was notified at 10:15 am of a gas leak at the construction site behind LCHS. Out of an abundance of caution Louisa Fire Dept. checked and cleared the area behind the school to resume construction. We are thankful for the quick response from local emergency personnel.
Louisa Middle School participated in Red Ribbon Week events with its Say No to Drugs door contest! The LMS FRYSC also invited motivational speaker Forest Quillen, who told LMS students why saying no to drugs is vital!
