The 58th District Basketball Tournament begins tonight, with the Lady Bulldogs playing Betsy Lane at 8 PM! Tomorrow night, the LCHS boys play Prestonsburg at 6 PM! Games will be held at the Betsy Lane High School. Let's go out and support our teams! Go Bulldogs!

Congratulations to LCHS Lady Bulldog, Miss Sophie Adkins, for being named the 2025 KABC Girls 15th Region Player of the Year! This is her second year of being honored with this fantastic title! This award also means she will be in the running for the title of Kentucky's "Miss Basketball" next month! We are so proud of her and wish her the best of luck!

Today, we celebrate our LCHS FRYSC team, Mrs. LuAnn Kelly and Mrs. Anne Preece! This dynamic duo does so much for their students and families! Their work with families on student attendance through home visits, sponsorship of drug and alcohol prevention programs, promotion and support of career and job readiness programs, and parenting classes focused on nutrition, meal preparation, and budgeting. LC Schools is proud to wish one of our own, 1998 LCHS alum Jason Michael, the best of luck in Super Bowl LXI! He is in his fourth year as the Philadelphia Eagles' tight ends coach. In 2007, he began his coaching career as a tight ends coach at the University of TN. Through the years, he has worked with several NFL teams, including the Indianapolis Colts, Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, San Diego Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, and the New York Jets. The LC School Attendance Challenge starts tomorrow! It will run from Monday, February 3rd, through Friday, February 14th. The winning school will receive the traveling attendance trophy, a prize from the school, and, of course, bragging rights! Remember, attendance matters!
