Thank you to the Lawrence County Retired Teachers Association for their generous donation to LC Schools for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library! This donation will provide approximately 100 Lawrence County children with free books in October!

Louisa West Elementary School's RISE (Reading Inspires Students to Excel) program is in full swing! The 1st-grade students enjoy working hard on their reading skills with the LWES RISE team, which includes Ms. Burns, Mr. Wooten, and Ms. Rigsby!

LC Schools will be holding open interviews at the LC Board of Education on Friday, September 15, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. District positions include substitute teachers, bus drivers/monitors, custodians, and cooks/bakers.

The LC Schools volunteer training program will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. If you would like to volunteer this year, please try to attend this meeting. Please bring your driver's license!

Preschool starts tomorrow.. With that in mind here are the morning drop off and afternoon pick up maps. During afternoon pickup Mrs. Burns will be out there taking student names and Mr. Maynard will be out there to help with parking. Please be patient with everyone in the mornings and afternoons as some are just learning the procedures and it will take a little longer than it has been. We will do our best to make this as smooth as possible.
Notice of Change! The LC Volleyball Game with Betsy Lane has been rescheduled from Tue, Aug 22nd to Wed, Aug 23rd at 6 PM. Also, the LC Football game with Shelby Valley scheduled for Fri, Aug 25th has a time change of 8 PM, due to the heat advisory.
