Louisa West's Preschool and Kindergarten registration will be on April 28, 2023. It will last from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM at the Louisa First Baptist Church on West Pike Street! Online registration needs to be completed before attending the registration!

Attention! LC Schools will begin end-of-year testing on May 2, 2023! Please make sure students do not have appointments scheduled during the testing window. Students also need to be well rested, be at school on time, and have a good breakfast!

March is Music in Our Schools Month! The LCHS Choir and Band hosted a production, that included all of the schools within the district! They also started the LC Schools Music Hall of Fame! The program and induction ceremony was a huge success!

Attention! The menu has changed for all LC Schools for Wednesday, March 29, and Thursday, March 30, 2023. An Easter meal will be served during lunch on Thursday, March 30th. The Easter meal will consist of bone-in chicken or ham, mashed potatoes with gravy, corn, green beans, homemade rolls, dressing, and dessert.

The Louisa West hosted a Career Technical Day with LCHS! The LCHS students enjoyed discussing careers based on the LCHS Career-Technical Programs to the elementary students!

Next week we will be having our parent involvement activity for Easter. Our students enjoy having their parents come in and do a project with them.
We will be having Parent Data Night next week. Be sure to come and talk to your child's teacher about their STAR testing.

Louisa West Elementary appreciated the LEAP (Literacy, Eating, and Activity for Primary) program provided by the Lawrence County Extension Service! They read books to kindergarten and first-grade students about healthy foods and eliminating germs!
