The LCHS girls and boys basketball teams will play at home in a doubleheader on Fri, Dec 8th against Betsy Lane. The girl's game starts at 6 PM, while the boy's game starts at 7:30 PM. The first 50 LC students will get into the game for free! Go Bulldogs!

The LMS Performing Arts is hosting its annual Christmas Bazaar on Thursday, Dec 7, 2023, from 9 AM-5 PM! The LCHS Choir will be caroling the event from 9:00-9:45. 🎄There will be over 40 local vendors offering hand-made crafts and delicious baked goods!

The LCHS HOSA Club is hosting a blood drive on Fri, Dec 8, 2023, from 8:30 AM- 1:30 PM! This drive is open to LCHS students and staff. Students under 16, need a parent consent form completed before the event. Forms can be picked up from Mrs. Adams. Blood donation saves lives!

Congratulations to LCHS FFA member, Kelsey Vance for being awarded the SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) Grant of $500! Kelsey will be using the proceeds to expand her Bohr goat herd and make improvements within their pasture area.

Blaine Elementary School students have started a class project entitled, Trash to Treasures. Ms. Withers began this project to motivate her students in letter writing. BES seventh-grader, Nate Boggs, has received the first letter from the project!

Today the LC Schools employee spotlight is on Louisa Middle School's, Ms. Rose! Ms. Rose is a first-year teacher at Louisa Middle School. She has an inspiring story as a nontraditional student and has worked hard to gain her teaching degree!

LC Schools would like to thank the LC Tourism Commission for hosting the Race to End Hunger during the Thanksgiving holiday. On Giving Tuesday, the LC Tourism & Turkey Trot committee members presented the LC FRSYC centers with a generous donation of $6002!

Blaine Elementary School had a visit from representatives of the KY Derby Museum Outreach Program. The program helps to educate K-8 grade students about the facts associated with the KY Derby. BES students loved the visit and learned so much!

The LCHS Senior Culinary Class held its annual Thanksgiving feast under the instruction of Ms. West. The students prepared the menu, place settings, and table decorations. It was a memorable day cooking and enjoying a delicious dinner!

The new LCHS Fire Science class held two monitored burn experiments, allowing students to witness the way fire reacts in certain structures. Students were continually monitoring temperatures and answering questions throughout the burn process.

FES held its first Teen Summit to address and support issues their middle school students are currently facing in their everyday lives. All students were required to attend the Social Media Etiquette session sponsored by the LC Sheriff's Office,

LCHS Carpentry students worked to complete the new LC Bulldog doghouse that now sits below the scoreboard at Luke Varney, JR Memorial Field. The students took great pride in completing the project! It is exciting to see the doghouse back on the field!
