LC Schools held its Opening Day Breakfast at the LCHS, where the staff enjoyed a traditional breakfast with all the fixings! It was a great time to meet and mingle with staff throughout the district. It is always a great way to start off the school year!

Fallsburg Elementary was full of smiling faces at the Readifest program held for students! Thank you to the numerous community partners, who donated supplies and services to the event and helped make it such a wonderful success!

Louisa Middle School held its annual Meet the Teacher event on Thursday, Aug 4th for the 6th-grade students. The 7th and 8th-grade students met their teachers on Friday, Aug 5th! Students enjoyed touring their class wings and meeting their new teachers!

LC Golf team news! Congratulations to the LC Girls Golf Team for finishing as Runner-up in the 2A Section 8 Tournament at Stonecrest in Prestonsburg, KY. LMS 8th, Abby Runyon will compete in the 2A State Tournament on Sept 11th and 12th in Owensboro, KY.

The Louisa West and Louisa East Elementary Schools held their readifest program together at the Lawrence County Community Center on Aug 1, 2023. They also coordinated Meet the Teacher on Aug 3rd for students to tour the schools and meet new teachers.

BES held its Readifest and Meet the Teacher on Mon, July 31, 2023! The day was a great success thanks to the community partners that participated in the event! Students were excited to see each other and get school supplies for the new school year.

LCHS halls were bustling due to the Jumpstart Program and Meet the Teacher activities held on July 31, 2023! Freshmen picked up schedules, met with teachers, and toured the classrooms and school. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors picked up their schedules!
