The LCHS JRTOC worked on a Community Service Project at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ironton, OH. The students cleaned the cemetery in honor of the upcoming Veterans Day holiday! The project helps to instill values and give back to the community!

Dr. Vanderpool led LCHS science classes and took an adventure to a road cut through to search for various types of fossils. The students enjoyed the day and were able to keep the fossils they discovered!

The LCHS Honors Choir was invited to perform at the Louisa Rotary luncheon. Ms. Johnson directed the choir in performing four musical selections, with various students having solos in the program. The students gave an amazing performance!

Congratulations! The LCHS Boys Soccer Team is the 15th Regional Champions! This was a nail-biter of a game against Prestonsburg! The teams were tied 1-1 in overtime, and LC won with their penalty kicks! Great job to these players and coaches!

Congratulations to the Louisa Middle School 8th-grade girls basketball team for becoming the OVC Champions! The team played West Carter in the final and won 60-43! These young ladies have had an incredible season!

Towards the end of the day, a "hot, electrical" smell was noticed in the Fallsburg building.
Students were evacuated. The fire department has been on the scene and have been inspecting the building. No fire has been detected.
Buses are loading, as scheduled.
The fire department has given the "all-clear" (safe) for school tomorrow. We will assign a night watchmen, out of an abundance of caution, to monitor the building throughout the night just to make sure another issue does not arise.
