Great learning is happening at the Louisa Middle School! Ms. Rose's seventh-grade science class worked on an experiment dealing with chemical reactions. You can tell by these students' faces that they had a great time learning!

LCHS Carpentry students worked with the LC Schools maintenance crew on installing a new 35-foot flag pole at the Luke Varney Jr. Memorial Field. They constructed a concrete foundation, accurately leveled, and permanently secured it. It looks spectacular!

The LCHS Art Class took a field trip to the West Edge Factory in Huntington, WV. ArtReach on the Road instructors provided Appalachian arts and crafts education for the students. The LCHS students had an amazing day learning and creating Appalachian art!

Thank you to the Lawrence County Retired Teachers Association for their generous donation to LC Schools for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library! This donation will provide approximately 100 Lawrence County children with free books in October!

Louisa East Elementary celebrated Grandparents Day with an ice cream social hosted by the LEES Family Resource and Youth Service Center. A craft activity was provided by the Lawrence County Public Library. It was a great evening of making memories!
