Let's come together during this important week to celebrate our Lawrence County Schools Family Resource and Youth Service Centers! Today, we celebrate our ladies who work so hard for our students at the Louisa West and Louisa East Elementary Schools! Through their unwavering dedication, Mrs. Anita Caudill and Jessica Tackett's work provides our students with the necessary resources and leaves a lasting impact on their lives. This duo begins the year with Readifest, a Back to School Bash, and Meet the Teacher events. They have year-round backpack programs, several Data Nights, a Veterans Day program, and much more! They strive for community outreach, sponsor mental health referrals, and make home visits. They have hearts of gold that connect with our students and families! Ladies, we appreciate you so much!

Mrs. Whitt's 4th-grade students enjoyed working on a hands-on project to make a community warning system! The students used various configurations of their materials until they found the one that allowed the light and buzzer to alert simultaneously. They dove deep into this science activity and had so much fun!
