This is a quick reminder that today starts the new dismissal times for Louisa West, Louisa East, and Louisa Middle Schools. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we implement these new dismissal times. Lawrence County Schools has received an URGENT request for cleaning supplies for flood victims in our region. Donations should be taken to the LC Board of Education Office at 50 Bulldog Lane by noon on Wednesday, February 19th! We appreciate your help. Thank you in advance!

It's almost Valentine's Day! Items delivered to LWES on Friday will be handed out at the end of the day. Please do not send glass items or balloons. Students will participate in class parties to receive Valentines from friends, so please do not feel the pressure to send gifts!

Today, we celebrate our ladies who work so hard for our students at the Louisa West and Louisa East Elementary Schools! Through their unwavering dedication, Mrs. Anita Caudill and Jessica Tackett's work provides our students with the necessary resources and leaves a lasting impact on their lives. This duo begins the year with Readifest, a Back to School Bash, and Meet the Teacher events. They have year-round backpack programs, several Data Nights, a Veterans Day program, and much more! They strive for community outreach, sponsor mental health referrals, and make home visits. They have hearts of gold that connect with our students and families! Ladies, we appreciate you so much!
